April 26, 2025 - Palo Pinto County on Tour
A self-paced historical & wildflower driving tour sponsored by the Palo Pinto County Historical Commission. This event is held every two years in odd numbered years. Tickets are available on tour day at all tour locations and also sold in advance. Follow Facebook/Palo Pinto County Historical Commission for more information.
The following historic sites are included on this year's tour:
Castle Rock, Santo; Old Jail Museum and First Christian Church in Palo Pinto; St. Boniface Catholic Church, Dodson Prairie (north of Strawn); Zim's Retreat, Strawn; Watson House, Strawn.

Palo Pinto County Old Jail Museum – 231 South 5th Ave., Palo Pinto, TX
Open 1st weekend of March through 2nd weekend of December.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free admission.

Open Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Free admission.
Tours of the recently renovated Texas & Pacific train depot are also available during museum hours.
